Bonded Wool Cotton - Black/Grey
A practical bonded fabric combining wool and cotton, designed for outerwear where structure and weather resistance are important.
One side is a soft black and grey wool blend with a subtle melange appearance, while the reverse is a solid black cotton layer. The two fabrics have been bonded together in the UK to create a double-sided cloth that offers both durability and stability.
Originally produced for a high-end handmade raincoat label, this fabric was used for trench coats and mackintosh-style outerwear where performance and finish mattered. The bonded construction helps provide protection from the weather while maintaining a clean, structured handle.
Because it is reversible, both sides can be used creatively depending on the design of the garment.
