Bonded Wool Cotton - Grey Marl
A bonded outerwear fabric combining wool and cotton for durability, structure and protection from the weather.
This double-sided cloth is made from 50% wool and 50% cotton, bonded together in the UK to create a stable and practical fabric for coat making. One side features a soft grey marl wool surface with a subtle black flecked appearance, while the reverse is a solid black cotton layer.
Originally developed for a high-end handmade raincoat label, the fabric was used for trench coats and mackintosh-style outerwear where a clean finish and reliable performance were essential. The bonded construction helps the fabric hold its shape while providing protection from light rain and wind.
Both sides can be used in garment design, making it suitable for coats, jackets and structured outerwear projects.
Stocks are limited as this is an ex-designer fabric.
