Description

The Den is a woven jacket pattern that offers an optional lining. It features seam lines on both the bodice and sleeves, perfect for topstitching or colour blocking. The sleeve facing allows for a fold-up cuff, and the jacket can be fastened with either buttons or snaps. View A has a cropped style that ends at mid-rise, while View B is a longer hip-length version. Both variations include front patch pockets and spacious inseam pockets.

Recommended Fabric

This jacket is designed for medium to heavyweight woven fabrics but can also be made with a lighter fabric for an oversized shirt effect. Keep in mind that using thicker fabrics or adding a lining may reduce the ease, so consider sizing up. If you use flannel or fleece for the body lining, it's recommended to opt for a slippery fabric for the sleeves.

Suggested fabrics for the main jacket include canvas, corduroy, denim, flannel, linen, and twill.

For the bodice lining, consider flannel, fleece, lawn, or linen.

For the sleeve lining, lawn, rayon bemberg, or rayon challis are recommended.
