Description

The Asteri sewing pattern offers two versatile options: a sophisticated sleeveless midi dress and a chic vest top. Both designs are unlined and feature a princess cut, V-neck, and front button fastening. The dress includes discreet in-seam side pockets, while the vest is designed with distinctive patch pockets at the hips. Waist pleats add subtle volume to the dress’s pencil skirt, complemented by a split back hem for ease of movement. The vest also features a buckled back tab for adjustable fit.

Recommended Fabric

Light to mid-weight non-stretch fabric with low drape. Avoid heavy fabrics, as they make the garment more difficult to sew. Various linen and cotton fabrics are well suited to this garment.

Fabric Requirements

The fabric requirements account for a 5% allowance for shrinkage. Keep in mind that fabric consumption may be higher for patterned fabrics or those that must be cut in a single direction.

Dress: 150 cm (60") wide fabric: 170 - 240 cm (1 7/8 - 2 5/8 yd) // 115 cm (45") wide fabric: 225 - 335 cm (2 1/2 - 3 5/8 yd).

Vest: 150 cm (60") wide fabric: 110 - 175 cm (1 1/4 - 1 7/8 yd) // 115 cm (45") wide fabric: 155 - 210 cm (1 3/4 - 2 1/4 yd).
