The Voyage cotton poplin fabric is slightly heavier than a standard poplin at 130 gsm with a 205 thread count. This beautiful fabric features a blooming botanical composition of wildflowers in abundant display, painted in soft washes of bright and fresh watercolous such as pink, green, blue, purple, and orange.
This is superb quality cotton, and it is ideal for dresses, skirts and shorts, which require a little more body and structure. This is not a draping cotton, but it is good for an a-line skirt with pockets, or a dress with a bodice, or a skirt with pleats and heavier shirts. This fabric is also heavy enough for home decor. It is especially good for cushions and wonderful for crafts, particularly purses and bags.
This is pre-shrunk, so there's no need to wash it before making your project. This fabric is breathable, washable at 40 and keeps its shape.
Voyage is a well-known interiors firm based in Scotland, and their digital printing process is chemical-free, using pigment inks and a heat set method, reducing the environmental impact. Each Voyage design is hand drawn and painted in their design studio and printed in-house on natural fibres.
