Difficulty: Intermediate

Sizes: US 00-20 (approx. UK 6-22 based on our size chart)

Description

The Skyline Tee is a versatile, fitted t-shirt pattern featuring five neckline options and four interchangeable sleeve styles, allowing you to create a t-shirt suitable for any season or occasion. You can choose between a full-length or cropped hem. This pattern is ideal for use with stretch knit fabrics that offer at least 50% stretch both vertically and horizontally.

Version #1 features low scoop necklines at the front and back.

Version #2 has a low scoop front neckline with a high back neckline.

Version #3 offers a jewel neckline.

Version #4 provides a V-neck, with options for a wide neckband (4a) or a low, narrow neckband (4b).

Sleeve A is a slim, long sleeve.

Sleeve B is a short sleeve that falls just above the elbow.

Sleeve C is a short, cap sleeve.

Sleeve D is a gathered, long sleeve that narrows at the forearm.

The full-length hem sits just above the hip, while the cropped hem ends at the navel.

Recommended Fabric

Light to medium weight 4-way stretch knit fabrics with at least 50% horizontal and vertical stretch, such as cotton jersey, bamboo jersey, or stretch rib knit. Good stretch recovery is recommended to maintain neckband shape, but be mindful that too much recovery could lead to a tighter fit.

Notions

  • Thread
  • Optional - knit fusible interfacing or tape (9" long x 3/8" wide) for stabilising shoulders (only for extremely delicate or stretchy knits).
  • Twin or double needle for knits for hemming/topstitching

Note: The designer recommends selecting your size primarily based on your high bust measurement. The standard size range (sizes 00–20) is designed using a base size 8, intended for individuals approximately 5'6" to 5'7" (168–170 cm) tall, with minimal height variation across sizes. It is tailored for a B/C cup.
