This Italian ex-designer red coating fabric offers a softer, lighter option compared to classic wool coat fabrics. A 50% wool and 50% alpaca blend gives it a gentle brushed surface and a warm, airy handle while remaining comfortable to wear. At 261gsm, it’s a mid-weight fabric with good movement, suited to softer coat styles, jackets, wraps and layering pieces.

The 135cm width makes pattern cutting straightforward, and the alpaca adds loft, warmth and a subtly plush feel. From an Italian mill, it’s ideal if you’re looking for warmth without bulk and a clean, refined finish.
